Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Industries Demonstration Zone (Yangling in short ), the unique state agricultural hi-tech industries demonstration zone in China, is the congery of China’s agricultural sci-tech and a significant base for the demonstration of agricultural industries. The famous North-west Agricultural and Forestry Sci-tech University is located here.
  Yangling is jointly constructed by 19 ministries (commissions or state bureaus) and Shaanxi Provincial Government, who has a provincial construction team consisiting of 34 provincial bureaus. The Administrative Committee of Yangling is authourized with the prefectural power in administrative affairs, provincial level power in economic management and limited provincial power in administrative affairs. It also enjoys various preferential policies for state hi-tech development zones and West China development, as well as policies to support national agricultural development.
  After years of construction and development, Yangling is now one of the industrial parks open to APEC, the trail zone of agricultural exchang between Taiwan and motherland, and the priority hi-tech zone supported by the state. It has become one of the areas with great development potentiality in Shaanxi. A modern agricultural hi-tech, industrial, ecological, tourism city is emerging in west China.
  Yangling has good living environment with easy transportation, green lawns, evergreen trees, fresh air, as well as nice infrastructure facility in education, health care and entertainment. The total green belt covers an area of 580,000m2 , 10.6m2 ?per capita and a landscaping rate of 38.8%. About 300 days in a year, the index of air quality keeps at Grade II or even better. Water resources are rich and pollution-free. Yangling is an ideal place for people to live, study and work.
  Since the establishment of Yangling, the total investment for fixed assets has reached 5.84billion RMB, of which 2.5billion RMB has been used to build infrastructure and public facilities. Within the city, the infrastructure construction has been accomplished with supplies of water, power, gas, heating system, sewage treatment, drainage, road and telecommunication provided. Yangling is a favorable place for the development of western hi-tech industries and business.
  Up till now, Yangling has obtained both the national and international certificates of ISO14001Enviromental Management Standard. What’s more, Yangling endeavors to win the title of National Environment Model City and National Sanitation City.
